Hannah Fry, CASA‘s own Lecturer in the Mathematics of Cities talks through some of the ways in which spatial modelling has the potential to predict major events in cities – in this case rioting. Hannah also has an excellent TEDx talk on the topic of “complexity” which is a field of research that underpins a lot of contemporary research into urban processes.
